# Twilio Auto Phone Number Assignment in App for EU-Countries

iX Hello platform integrates with Twilio to automatically purchase and assign phone numbers as part of the application workflow. This feature is currently enabled for the United Kingdom (mobile numbers only), ensuring quick and seamless number provisioning without manual intervention.

## Pre-requisite:

1. You need to have an iX Hello account of EU region for this. Contact our team to have your account created.
2. If you need more information about Twilio refer to [this](https://docs.ixhello.com/ixhc/connections/twilio) document.
3. Login in and Click on Add a New Assistant.

### Let's learn how to assign phone numbers from the App

In iX Hello customer the assistant can be set up to respond to phone calls/ SMS. It supports call/SMS feature based on Twilio.&#x20;

To set up the assistant for Call settings click on Activate on already existing bot or you can create a new bot follow [this](https://docs.ixhello.com/ixhc/general) document.

#### **1. Enable Bot to use this App Publishing**

* A toggle that allows the voice bot to be published and used with this configuration.
* When ON, the bot can make or receive calls using the settings below.

#### 2. **Select Country**

&#x20;Select Country (available options Germany/France/UK)

* Currently set to **United Kingdom - Supported, France and Germany are not supported as of now.**
* This determines:
  * The country where the phone number will be purchased
  * Local regulations
  * Accent / voice compatibility

#### 3. **Select Scheme**

Available options are (Local, Mobile)

* Both **Mobile and Local** are supported
* This means the system will use or purchase **mobile phone numbers**.

#### 4. **Audio Channel Type**

* Set to **Realtime**.
* Indicates that the voice bot:
  * Listens and responds **live during the call**
  * Enables real‑time conversations rather than pre‑recorded messages

#### 5. **Select Voice Provider**

* Dropdown shows available **text‑to‑speech (TTS) providers**: Open AI/ Eleven Labs
* This provider controls:&#x20;
  * Voice quality
  * Naturalness
  * Accent and tone options

#### 6. **Select Voice Gender**

* Let's the user choose the voice gender (e.g., Male / Female).
* Dependent on the selected voice provider.

#### 7. **Select Voice Profile**

* Allows choosing a specific **voice style or persona** from the provider (e.g., calm, professional, energetic).
* The ⚠️ warning icon suggests:
  * A required selection is missing
  * Or the selected provider requires a profile to proceed

#### 8. **Enable Noise Reduction**

* Optional toggle to reduce background noise during calls.
* Improves clarity for both the bot and the caller.

#### 9. **Play Sample Text Audio for Call (Optional)**

* It's a sample text which allows the user to test the selected audio and voice profile by clicking on the play button

Now, click on Save and your assistant will now readily respond to calls and SMS from your customers.

You can manage the Twilio settings by clicking on the manage button.
